Unlike most fishing stories, this one is not far fetched. I had the wonderful opportunity to interview none other than my boyfriend in our home for a school project, turned passion project, on a Saturday in September. We’re both from the same town in New Jersey and we actually met while I was taking photos of him fly fishing while I was home for the Christmas break.
The assignment was “journey” and a story he had briefly told me one day came to mind. I was nervous to ask, which is ironic because its my job to ask strangers to tell their stories, but I was so glad when he said yes.
The best part of this “journey” was yesterday, when Dan and I were driving back from lunch with my parents. I’m resting against his arm and he’s scrolling through the same fly fishing blogs he scrolls through every day (as I’m assuming all fly fishermen do) and he starts laughing. A second later he gently shakes me and point out my video that seems to be on a sites called Moldy Chum. A laughs again when he sees its on a little site called Orvis.
Thank you to everyone who has enjoyed this story and shared it.
I would also like to add that I have seen photos of him catch some nice looking trout, but it hasn’t happened while I’m there.
